The East Haddam Green Committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office Complex.

The Committee is charged with surveying the town’s eco-footprint, reporting on the results, and helping to promote a more eco-friendly town. Formed in 2008, the committee has arranged for town residents to get home energy audits for $25 (instead of $75), compiled Carpooling and Green Tips flyers, created - with the help of town high school students & staff, the support of local businesses, and a grant - a reusable “East Haddam Blue Bag”, and established a Community Food Bank Garden. The Committee also publishes an email newsletter several times a year.
